Jason Plummer - Republican for Lt. Governor

Plummer Wins Naperville Township Endorsement

Naperville, IL – January 9, 2010 – Earlier today, Jason Plummer, Republican candidate for Lt. Governor won the endorsement of the Naperville Township Republican Organization by an overwhelming margin. The organizational endorsement follows the personal endorsement of Naperville Township Republican Chairman, Rachel Ossyra earlier this month.

Supporters point to Jason Plummer’s experience and plans for creating new jobs and addressing the culture of corruption in Illinois politics, as the reason for his lopsided victory in Naperville Township and for his growing statewide momentum. “I am humbled and gratified that Republican Party activists are responding to our message and for their support,” Plummer said.

On Thursday, Plummer announced at the Illinois State Republican Party’s Lt. Governor debate that if elected he will take no pay from taxpayers until Illinois unemployment dips below double digits. “Some of my opponents are talking about tax hikes, while I'm talking about tax relief. The first thing I’m cutting is my salary to zero. This is the time for elected officials to step-up and share the pain. Our leaders and representatives in Springfield shouldn’t be the first in line to get a paycheck; they should be the last,” Plummer concluded.
